The Ceuta Public Pool is located in the Maritime Park in Ceuta, Spain, on the top of the African Continent. It offers 1800 square meters of salt water which has been pumped into the pool from the sea. There are three large “lakes” of water, interspersed with waterfalls and small islands which provide private areas for those of you seeking a more isolated experience. It is surrounded with a few restaurants, and oh, smack in the middle you’ll find a gigantic casino.
For 3 euros for a day pass, it’s hard to beat. A peaceful sanctuary in which to escape the heat. And the very nature of Ceuta is quiet and serene — it can only be reached by high speed ferry or helicopter from Malaga. Or in our case, we sailed from Gibralter. Yes, we are that cool.
So…this is the place we’d like to be today.
