Upon entering, I knew there were good things to come when I noticed the very first stand was from the Red Hook Food Vendors, selling pupusas to the Williamsburg crowd.  And I was right, the Williamsburg Smorgasborg, a self-proclaimed flea-food market, has stands which run the gamut from oysters and fried anchovies to teriyaki balls and cold noodles.  And everything in between.

A hipster foodie’s paradise, there is plenty of eye candy as well as real, actual candy in case you don’t get lucky with the former.  Our pick?  The maple flavored cotton candy wrapped around a pretzel rod.

Though at least till this heatwave ends, you might want to opt for the shaved ice pops, fun to watch them shave and nice and refreshing.  We ate ours amidst the sunbathers at the park next door.   Over all?  If you love food, it’s worth a trip.
