Volkswagen Traffic Jam

So, not only is the jolly rancher a VW, but neither one of us has ever owned a car that wasn’t.  And, we’re both crazy about classic VW’s.  One of us even has a tattoo of the VW logo.  Combine that with the fact that there’s free summer ferry’s to Governor’s Island that leave from the Brooklyn Bridge Park at Atlantic Ave right down the street, and we had ourselves a trip to this weekend’s 2nd annual Volkswagen Traffic Jam.

A Volkswagen lovers paradise.  Not to mention it’s not such a shabby place for a car show, the statue of liberty towers in the background and canons were heard from the nearby civil war re-enactment.  Plus there was a makeshift beer garden and gyros for sale.  Overall a worthwhile jaunt to the little island that overlooks our backyard of Red Hook.  We’ll definitely be going back this summer.
